SPB supports the efforts of the Mashpee Clean Waters group formed recently on Facebook with the purpose:

Mashpee has significant water quality issues. It’s a complicated problem and there’s a real need for clear information. We’ll try to share as much objective information and news as we can. Join us to advance the conversation and drive action to improve the quality of the waters in Mashpee.

Over 150 members of our community gathered on the Spit last week to enjoy live music, play yard games, eat Polar Cave ice cream, and watch the full moon rise! It was so fun seeing all of the kids running around the beach, and families enjoying this special place.

Hey, hey, what do you say?

I say, YEAH, what a summer on Popponesset Bay!  The weather has been glorious, the Spit and various channels feeding the bay have stayed in great shape.  Plovers and other birds have born their young, kids have a great time searching for sea creatures in the inner channel,
