End of Summer Boat Parade Sept. 5th

Popponesset Island resident David Gershaw has graciously offered to host a Labor Day Weekend boat parade! The entry fee to sign up is a $100 donation towards Save Popponesset Bay. With your donation you will receive a Save Popponesset Bay boat flag and ice cream for your boat at the end of the parade.

Parade Details:
Each boat will line up in Popponesset Creek at 11am on Saturday, September 5 where we will distribute the boat flags. With David Gershaw at the helm and the honk of a boat horn we will takeoff on a parade route through Popponesset Bay, looping around Sampson’s Island through Osterville and Cotuit, and ending up back at the Spit where everyone is free to enjoy at their leisure. Once back at the Spit around 12:30pm each boat with a Save Popponesset Bay flag will receive free ice cream for everyone on board.
