The dredging is expected to start after Labor Day and take 10-15 business days depending on weather conditions. Dredging will pause for the weekends. The Harbormaster will have a staffed boat monitoring the area the majority of the time.

On the Spit, SPB will have extra security and signage to deter beach goers from going near the active construction site near the Fisherman’s Stairs. Please treat the area as an active construction site and share information so that we can keep the area and people safe. We will provide updates as we hear them. Thank you all for your cooperation!
