The inner channel dredge work is now complete!
This is the channel that runs through the middle of the bay. The dredge crew is now working on the 1916 channel which runs from the top of the Spit towards the Mashpee Neck Marina. The 1916 channel work should be completed by the end of the week. Please use caution when navigating the area. We have attached a few photos that show the impact of the dredge sand being placed in front of the dune on the Spit, which is vital to protect the dune. The beach looks fantastic! Fingers crossed that Mother Nature is kind to us this winter.
